Transportation
Major highways in the area, along with four lane access to two interstates, I-16
and I-95, Dodge County provide the ideal location for distribution and logistics. Easy import and export
opportunities await as two major seaports, Savannah and Brunswick, are less than 120 miles away. With over 100
trucking carriers serving middle Georgia, competitive pricing and nationwide service are a phone call
away.
The Heart of Georgia Regional Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport
allow for national transportation. The Heart of Georgia Regional Airport and Industrial Park has recently
undergone major expansion. In conjunction with the expansion of the Middle Georgia College Aviation Campus, a
new 6,600 foot runway with a 120,000 lb. landing capacity and a new state of the art terminal have recently been
constructed.
The north-south rail service that runs through the county provides another option
for ground shipment of products. Daily switching services are provided in Eastman and rail spurs to
industrial sites are available.
Labor
Over 20 manufacturers call Dodge County home, and provide skilled employment for
